What kind of vessels would God use and what will be the criteria for selection?
From our previous studies, we have established the truth that, a vessel’s availability and its cleanliness are important factors to consider when selecting one for use.

Today we will study the Emptiness of a Vessel as one of the criterion for selection.

I like using the kitchen to illustrate situations not because I love food that much but because it is a common thing everyone can relate to 😅.
So let us walk to the kitchen in search of a bowl to eat some rice from it because hunger keeps knocking with all the noise that comes with it in the belly (not pleasant).
Looks like someone ate in my favorite bowl and left it unwashed but i am too hungry to wash this before use…
Oh that bowl looks new, when did it get to the kitchen? i wish i could eat from it but i am too hungry to go through the trouble of getting it from the top of the kitchen cabinet.
Oh and that one, it is covered but has already been filled with something else.
Looks like I would have to go with something new today because apparently all my favorites are taken!
I am sure we have gotten the picture now😊.

God desires to use you for His glory but He needs a place to dwell before His works will be made manifest.
God is a Spirit Being and so is the devil, and yes! both require a human body to execute tasks in the earth realm because the world was created for bodies not spirits.
God cannot fill a body that is already full with the opposing spirit because light has absolutely nothing to do with darkness.

No matter how clean you are or how close you are to the master, you cannot be used if you are already full or occupied with other duties.
You might be in a boat(situation) now that is almost sinking and you would have to get somethings off the boat to save your life.

The bible says in Hebrews 12:1-2
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus is your goal line therefore running this race as a Christian, you must fix your eyes solely on Him to ensure victory!
Rid yourself off anything that distracts you and allow Him to fill you because with Him inside you, your little efforts are made mighty to the pulling down of strongholds.

Food For Thought
Without your body, God cannot work on this earth as well as the devil. Whom are you going to allow to use your body? Having in mind that every action comes with consequences.

Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, I am thankful for your word today, forgive me for fixing my eyes on temporal things on this earth that only leads to death.
I decrease that you may increase in me, I am just but a vessel ready to be used by You Lord. I avail myself, use me. Amen.
