Glory to God!
Hopefully this will be the last part of the usable vessels message.
Today, we bring you the fourth part dubbed the willing(desiring) vessel.

Let us get started right away…

From our previous studies, we have established the truth that, God is likely to choose a clean and empty vessel as well as the one closest to Him for honorable purposes.

As said early on, we will look at a vessels willingness to be used for good works.
Have you ever wondered why God gave our free will to us right from the start?

It is pretty simple, He is a caring and loving God who does not desire His children to be like robots!

He gives us freedom to choose! He always does. Even though He knew we had limited minds, He still believed so much in us to make the right choice, but it is rather unfortunate we always prefer chains to liberty.

If there is one thing God will not do…it is to go against the will of His children, He always gives us the opportunity to make our own choices(mistakes…lol).

Jesus Christ had a choice to make even though He was slayed before the foundations of the earth was established, but when the appointed time had come, of course He could have opted out but for you and my sake He went through with the plans of God.
Jesus was willing to die for us, it was not a forced act! And He did that out of love. We do know that love is voluntary in that, you cannot force someone to give it to you, so the same way, Jesus willingly gave Himself to us.

So now, the thing is no matter how clean or empty you are or how close you are to the Almighty, He cannot use you if you do not have the desire to be used.

Most often when people are forced to do things they have no passion for, they produce results far below expectations but when someone does what he loves to do, desired results are produced!

The Apostle Paul tells us that, whatever we give to God must be because we want to and not because someone wants us to…

2 Corinthians 9:7
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Food For Thought
Good does not produce average but perfect results when He puts His mind to something, so until you are willing to give your all He will not use you.

Prayer
Father, thank you for your word and forgive me for all the wrongs i have done, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. let my desire to do your work continually grow stronger without boundaries in The name of Jesus.Amen.

Hmmm sometimes, I tend to think that, because He has used me before, He will again. I forget that I need to desire. Thanks for the reminder

This was really insightful. I enjoyed catching up on the previous posts as well. The analogies were on point and I very much enjoyed the prayers at the end. May God continue to use us as vessels unto honour. God bless you for sharing!
