The 3 golden habits.

As humans as we all are, don’t we just love to be praised?
Sometimes people do the right things for the wrong reasons and miss every blessing associated with the deed.
There are somethings that once it is done often it naturally prolongs your lifespan like exercising, eating well and on time, drinking lots of water, and smiling, yes that too.

Today, i want to share with you 3 golden habits to living a successful life in Christ given to us by our Savior Jesus Christ in Matthew 6:1-18.
The good thing is that the results are also physically detected.

1.Giving
There is much more blessing in giving than receiving.
Remember the saying, givers never lack?
Well, the bible says in Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

It is indeed good to give but how we give is also very necessary.
What good will it be by giving something to someone and later on tell everyone about that deed? i think it will be better to send it to the radio station to be announced, so that you reach your goal faster.
People who truly give from their hearts always want it to stay a secret and even prevent the receiver from even saying “thank you” to them.
Their rewards are always greater because God loves cheerful givers but not hypocrites.
Let us by the leadings of the Holy Spirit, learn to give no matter how small it, it might just be a life saver for someone.

2.Prayer
Prayer is life sustaining, that is why the bible says we should pray without ceasing.
Treat prayer as you treat your daily meal because it is a necessity.
We should note that it is not the number of words we are able to utter per minute that shows we are prayerful or carry power,
But your ability to cause heaven to interfere in the earth realm.
Let us learn to be skillful in prayer as a swordsman is with his sword.
The bible warns us strongly against “eye service”, that is, doing things just so we will be applauded.
Pray from your heart and in the spirit wherever you find yourself and the Lord who knows even before we ask and sees the deepest depths of our hearts shall reward us accordingly.

3. Fasting
Fasting is an effective tool that quickens or enforces our prayers.
It is very expedient for us to know how to fast so that we do not end up starving ourselves claiming it is a spiritual exercise.
There are some battles we cannot overcome unless by fasting and so if it must be done, then it must be done well.
When you are fasting, delight in it even though it might not be a pleasant exercise, work towards achieving the aim for the fast by focusing on God and not people. God does not mingle with hypocrites for they already have received their rewards from people.

So i conclude with this text…
Matthew 6:1
“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for the grace and mercies you poured down abundantly upon me, i am grateful.
Dear Lord please forgive my errors against you and wipe me clean that i may be clean.
Help me be a doer and not only a listener of your word at all times even though it is not easy, but your strength will make it possible.
Draw me closer to you father and teach me for me to understand your ways.
May i never be a hypocrite in all i do in your name.
Thank you Father for making your ears attent unto my prayer in the name of Jesus have i prayed with thanksgiving, Amen.

  1. Always some very good thoughts, Pap. I like the way you explain fasting, something many Christians don’t do too often these days. And your prayer at the end is good…

And thank you for so much support at my website! You give me a lot of encouragement!!

God love and keep you well…
