Pain before Pleasure

no pain no gain

Sometime ago i listened to one of my favorite preachers say she loved trouble and i was like, what is this woman talking about and what planet is she on?

I began digging deep into what she said and i found this message resonating deep within and so let me go ahead and share with you all…

Trouble goes along with pain, they are like siblings.

First of all Jesus had to go through a hell of trouble with extreme pain associated, in order to get us out of the bondage of sin.

Now we are living in Christ enjoying all the goodies that comes along with it.

His selfless act of love on the cross brought us to a place where we found eternal rest in Himself.

God planned the redemption of man but it was not going to be on a silver platter lest anyone belittle the wisdom of God.

So Jesus had to go through all the pain to redeem man, that the glory of God will be made manifest and also that people will have proof of this redemption.

Joseph needed his brothers to sell him off to Potiphar and he needed Potiphar’s wife to accuse him of adultery so he will be bound in prison…

In that tight corner, he came to a realization of the God-given talent that could break him out of those bounds and so while he was in trouble, and was ceased from doing his normal daily activities, he worked on becoming a better person by nurturing the gift God had given him.

In prison Joseph moved from being a dreamer to an interpreter of dreams then to a prime minister. He became an economist as well as an agriculturist all because he took advantage of the trouble around him.

All these things happened when he was pushed out of his comfort zone.

See the troubles that come your way as opportunities or a bus that is taking you to the desired destination.

As we admire the beautiful brightly colored rose flowers, we should also look beneath it to see the dirt it came out of.

Before we see the brightness of the day, there must be darkness and do not also forget that in the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, night came before day on the very first day.

Surely weeping endures for a night but joy comes in the morning.

Every time there is chaos, God is getting ready to bring out something, mantles are getting ready to be released in the spirit. Extraordinary and unheard things are about happening.

Will you be the Joseph who will strategically position himself to be used to the glory of God,

In  times of famine or whatever the challenge may be?

No one loves trouble and obviously no one loves pain but if you will stand up and face the problems head on fixing your eyes on Jesus the problem fixer then man! You are in for an unexpected bountiful harvest amidst the famine.

Will you be the cry baby always waiting for help to suddenly appear without working towards it?

The enemy hates to see an aggressive thinker in motion because whatever he puts together by the grace of God advances God’s kingdom and depopulates hell. he therefore tries to stir up the waters making it unstable to do any work but do not be dismayed because all things are working for your good just like Joseph, God will use your story to glorify Himself!

pain

People will see you and give glory to His name! Surely it will come to pass in Jesus name.

Bible reference; Genesis 45:5-8

Prayer

Thank you father for this day, indeed i am grateful for the life you have given to me once again free of charge.

I do ask that you will forgive me of my sins and cleanse me, that i may be clean.

Father i know that all things are working together for my good.

And i know that you have a plan for me, i pray for direction to follow it, patience to wait for it and knowledge to know when it comes.

Thank you for making your ears attent unto my prayer in Jesus’ name have i prayed with thanksgiving,  Amen.

This is powerful! A word directly for me! I like how you brought Joseph’s story in play, reminding us that despite the not so comfortable things that may be going on around our lives, all things will still work for our good and God will still be glorified. A lot of us prefer to bask in pleasure. But pain is a necessary forerunner of pleasure. This helps us not to get too proud or boastful of our pleasures because pain can be really humbling. I picked a lot from this and it sure strengthened my faith. God bless you for sharing!
