Would you come down a little?

I have been wondering why those who really have everything do not boast in it, and show it off the least chance they get whiles those who have just received some coins make so much noise with it and end up losing them in a heap of sand.🤔

Christians are supposed to be imitators of the very life of Christ but what is happening ?
Even in church people take up high positions and glory in it without actually serving but want to be served. Forgetting that Jesus humbled Himself enough to wash the feet of His disciples.

Philippians 2:6-9
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name…

Our Senior brother Jesus, whose life, i simply cannot wrap my head around, amazes me.
It is simply mind blowing how His love for unworthy souls got Him stripped off His crown, Riches, respect, honor and robed in a garment of pain, filt, insults, judgement and insanity yet He uttered no words about how great He is but humbled Himself as a sheep ready to be slaughtered for you and my sake.

Ask all the big people around (preachers inclusive) and you would realize God picked them out of the gutters and others, the bush, just like David, washed them and robbed them in royal garments.(Luke 1:52)

No one wants to be around proud people, they talk too much with little action, they always want things done their way, acting all bossy because they think they have and know it all making no room for additions.lol

Now let us take a look at this…
For a seed to become the huge beautiful tree, bearing the good fruits we all see and admire when we pass by…
It decides to look ahead, and envisioning the glory ahead surpassing the pain at the moment, it therefore decides to die completely to itself in a dirty evironment(soil) with different elements until it gathers enough resources to break dormancy and come up the dirt looking all fresh ready to set out on a journey of greatness it was meant to live.

People who humbles themselves find favor in God’s sight and are loved by many.
Humility is the number one step to greatness and that is the fear of the Lord;
its wages are riches and honor and life.
Always remember that God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
He will give you a great name once you drop the one you have now.

Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, i bless your name for how far you have brought me, please forgive my errors and accept my prayers.
Help me pick up my cross daily and follow you, it is difficult but through you i am able to do all things. Work with my heart and teach me how to love without restrains.
Thank you Lord for making your ears attent unto my prayers amen.

Free to Worship

img_7310

Sometimes when i sit down to think about the goodness of God, it just amazes me. it is simply Unfathomable for one without sin to be made sin for the sake of worthless and sinful beings if not for love.
I just remain speechless and deep in thoughts. Sometimes i do feel handicapped because i know nothing i have can measure up to what he did for me on the cross.
Therefore every moment of my life, i dedicate it to worship the Love of my life.
Just follow me as i draw this picture in your mind…

In the days of Moses there were so many limitations and restrictions pertaining to worshiping God. With the strict and merciless justice offered by the law, we were still in chains, and we needed more than animal sacrifice to make us whole.
Things became more of a ritual than a hearty exercise in those days.
The worship of our Maker was limited to the confinements of a temple(structure).

The temple was the place where animal sacrifices were carried out, and worship, according to the Law of Moses was followed faithfully. Hebrews 9:1-9 tells us that in the temple a veil separated the Holy of Holies—the earthly dwelling place of God’s presence—from the rest of the temple where men dwelt. This signified that man was separated from God by sin ( Isaiah 59:1-2). Only the high priest was permitted to pass beyond this veil once each year (Exodus 30:10; Hebrews 9:7) to enter into God’s presence for all of Israel and make atonement for their sins ( Leviticus 16).

But for the love of God, Christ was used as an atonement for sins ever committed and the ones yet to be even recorded.
His death caused the veil of the temple to be torn in two from top to bottom signifying that now the way into the Holy of Holies was open for all people, for all time, both Jew and Gentile.
When Jesus died, the veil was torn, and God moved out of that place never again to dwell in a temple made with hands ( Acts 17:24).

In a sense, the veil was symbolic of Christ Himself as the only way to the Father (John 14:6). This is indicated by the fact that the high priest had to enter the Holy of Holies through the veil. Now Christ is our superior High Priest, and as believers in His finished work, we partake of His better Priesthood. We can now enter the Holy of Holies through Him. Hebrews 10:19-20 says that the faithful enter into the sanctuary by the “blood of Jesus, by the new and living way which he opened for us through the veil, that is, through his flesh.”
He was the veil to the Holy of Holies, and through His death, the faithful now have free(unlimited) access to God.
The veil in the temple was a constant reminder that sin renders humanity unfit for the presence of God and so there was a need to permanently get rid of that.

The fact that the sin offering was offered annually and countless other sacrifices repeated daily showed graphically that sin could not truly be atoned for or erased by mere animal sacrifices. Jesus Christ, through His death, has removed the barriers between God and man, and now we may approach Him with confidence and boldness (Hebrews 4:14-16).

And now, our bodies have become the very temple of God, the dwelling place of our Holy God!(1 Corinthians 6:19)

Wow!! isn’t this just awesome?
We go into the temple anytime through Jesus and He speaks to us directly at all times. The death of Jesus was much more beneficial to us(women) because in time past we were less regarded and unworthy of leadership positions and much more, but the blood broke such barriers and now even me(Priscilla Benewaa Ocran)Papberry, i am being used as a vessel in this arena to showcase God’s glory!

img_6353
Prayer
Where ever you are just enter into the temple and begin to thank God for his goodness even in your sin, he never stopped loving you.
Ask Him to forgive you for failing to regard his sacrifice of love.
Now just bless the name of God so long as possible, i believe deeply that God will meet you at this point if you give him a hearty worship. Let it be all about Him today, his love, mercy, kindness, faithfulness, sovereignty, holiness.
Today is not a day for personal gains(things we need from Him).
Let your love for God overflow to the point where it is not just a feeling in the heart or mind but it begins to explode and overflow to where you begin to express it without shame or fear.
Just magnify His name for indeed He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.Glory to God!

Testimony Thursday

time

Hello dear one, how are you faring today?

Its thankful/Testimony Thursday and today I’m super excited ‘cause I am bringing you a power testimony of a brother so just continue reading till the last dot having in mind that someone’s testimony can be the keys to the prison someone else is locked in. If you want to be a part of this kindly contact me via papberryofficial@gmail.com and lets share that testimony to affect lives in a positive way.

testimony

Let’s get going now…

So in this interview, present are two characters Papberry (PB) and my Guest (King). Will be using the names in brackets through this interview.

PB: Welcome my dear, my name is Adjoa Benewaa Ocran, the author of Papberry message of course I’m not alone in this cos I’ve always got HS giving me the inspirations. Can you give us a brief introduction of yourself?

Guest: Thank you sister, my name is Kingsley Nyamaah, but my name on facebook is Kingsley Jesus Own. I am a Ghanaian and a footballer by profession, playing for a Turkish club and today I am going to share with you my biggest testimony of how I got saved by Jesus.

PB: Okay, God bless you for being willing to share. Please can you tell us a little about how you grew up?

King: I grew up with my mum alone because my Dad relocated to the states when I was 2 months old, and unfortunately I lost my mum at age 11 and had to move in with an unbeliever uncle. Till now I have not set my eyes on my dad even though we chat at times, I have never really enjoyed the companionship of my parents.

PB: Can you tell us what happened when you moved in with your unbeliever uncle?

King: when I was 13 years I was initiated by an anti-Christ into Sikhism (a religion which believes in God but not Jesus Christ and His teachings, they believe in the teachings of their masters, it is a combination of Hindu and Islam).

When one is initiated, he is given 5 words (Simran) these words are meditated on in prayers and by these words they are able to travel the Spiritual world.

PB: Quickly can you tell us about how you got saved or got out of this?

King: Last 3 years i couldn’t sleep at night for about 4 months, evil spirits would torment me anytime i closed my eyes. I couldn’t sleep in my room and so I moved in with a friend yet the evil spirit never stopped. I am the only one to feel her presence whenever she was around.

A friend gave me a bible but I didn’t know how to use it or how to pray at that time but i still said a thing to God and ask Him to speak to me through his Word.

I opened the bible randomly and what i saw was I AM WITH YOU, WHEREVER YOU ARE AND I WILL PROTECT YOU… (GEN 28:15)

I knew that was God ‘cause i had already packed my things and i was relocating, after God spoke to me i stayed and decided to pray always at night. As I said I didn’t know how to pray so i use to sleep with my bible on my chest but I still suffered for 4 months until i saw my soul leave my body. That day i saw that I was dead ‘cause i left the body. And I saw 3 demons coming to take me, Then i heard a voice that told them i was His, Immediately they retreated and i was taken to a place. I saw angels and i asked one angel that i wanted to see Jesus ‘cause He saved me.

He directed me and i saw a Great and Powerful Light.

I don’t have words to describe but it was beautiful and as i walked towards Him I fell down on my knees, crying and thanking him for saving me. I couldn’t look at Him even though I wanted to, He was so bright.

That was the last time, after this encounter I was never tormented again, it’s been 3 years now and I’m still free by the grace of God. I was in this Fake religion for 10 years. 13-23 years.

PB: wow! Glory to God! Can you let us know how you managed to survive as a baby in Christ till now?

King: My sister it’s  just by the grace of God, it wasn’t easy because I was alone, I had no friends ‘cause all I had were Sikhs and it wasn’t easy but Jesus was with me and teaching me a lot through the word and by the power of the Holy spirit.

PB: can you tell us about the challenges you faced?

King: The few friends I had left also thought I was going crazy and they wanted to send to the psychiatric hospital because I was seeing things and I used to tell them and those things were happening. It got to a time a friend was trying to convince me to stop praying in the name of Jesus and use the words I was given during my initiation, but I was able to stand these tests because Christ equipped me and sent someone my way who helped me through prayers, studying of the bible and fasting. I believed and I still believe because I had a personal encounter with Jesus and He showed me He was real.

PB: God bless you my dear for sharing with us, anything you would want to say before we end

King: we should all be watchful there are lots of doctrines circulating which are false and if you don’t take care you will be deceived. Remember this,  6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 (NIV)

No one can get to God except through Jesus Christ, He can never be taken out of the equation so please be warned. God bless you all.

PB: Thank you all for making time to read this, till we meet again, stay blessed.

Fearing God

img_7389
We fear many bad things: Crime, car accidents, devastating storms, viruses, chemical weapons, mass murderers, terrorists, earthquakes, demons and Satan himself!
But fearing God is having dominion over these things! Because God is bigger than every storm in our life.

Fearing God does not mean hiding from Him, or running away from His presence.
It is only wicked and cruel people that we run away from but our God is nothing close to that!
He is not unjust.
Whatever He does is perfect and in the right direction but because humans always want things to be done in the natural (our way) even when we are wrong, we tend to dislike anyone stepping in their way.
Fearing God is a positive rather than negative thing. It saves us from caving into our own sinful desires.

Anyone who does not fear God is rebellious.
Proverbs 8:13
To fear the Lord is to hate evil;
I hate pride and arrogance,
evil behavior and perverse speech.

Fearing God saves us from caving into our own sinful desires like ungodly relationships, doing drugs, adultery, idolatry, arrogance, pride, alcoholism, homosexuality, fornication…
It saves us from our very selves because most often, these perverse acts leads to destruction.

God wants His children to fear Him, that is give reverence(respect) to Him for who He is. It helps us to take Him and His beneficial laws seriously.
Inasmuch as fearing Has negative implications but that is a healthy fear, He always wants us near because that keeps us in check and prevents us from crossing the line of good over to evil.

We must fear God for He is capable of anything when we fail to obey( to every action there is a reaction).
His wrath is dreadful and no one can stand but that does not render Him unjust and unloving, His love is to the extreme and His wrath also is.
Is it not wise to fear God?

Matthew 10:28
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Let us all remember that there is a place we must go after life on earth, what will be the significance of the life we are living here if it will not send us into that better place where no evil will be?

Ecclesiastes 12:1
Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come…

A time will come when you as a youth will not have the strength like you do now, so use your might now to serve God before you are rendered handicapped by life and can do nothing for Him.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind.
For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.

He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says…

Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for today and the gift of life given me, i am grateful for your love and mercies towards me.
Father please forgive me of all errors committed against you, and wash me that i may be clean.
Father lay hold of my heart and heal my unbelief, help me live a life that will please you. Close the door behind me that leads me constantly to the world and open the one ahead of me that leads me into your very presence.
I desire to do your will but i am weak, today i acknowledge that you are my strength and i can do nothing without you and so help me father, help me overcome this hurdle ahead daily as i draw closer to you.
Thank you for making your ears attent unto my prayer in Jesus name have i prayed, Amen.

Thoughtful Tuesday

Hello guys😅.

It’s Tuesday and yes I’m sharing a quote with y’all.

Here we go…

“The devil is not the biggest threat or enemy of the church-ignorance is”.

Imagine that you are very hard on cash and someone owing you money deposits that amount in your account as he is supposed to, but forgets to inform you and you don’t also receive any notification to inform you of the deposit.

What happens then?

You continue to struggle for basic needs not because you don’t have money but because you don’t know you have money.

The enemy is always wild when people start searching for information and looking into who they really are and their rights.

The means by which the enemy gets to us is deception, we buy into his well plotted schemes first ’cause of ignorance.

I wanna dare you today to start searching, read, read and read, get knowledge, with that no one can lead you the wrong way!

Now as Christians our way of life is scripted in the word of God and it is only when you study it that you will know that there is actually more to life than what the eyes behold.

Study to show yourself approved unto God.

Endeavor to know who you are in Christ!”

Until we meet again, stay safe!

God bless you all.

Show me what you have

pieces

It’s so refreshing! Finally to put this post together, a bit of pieces I found scattered all around, after finding grace to mend the pieces I am finally coming out with this post.

I pray you are blessed by it because that is the whole point of posting this.

So not quite long I had this dream, of which I have been struggling to make meaning of.

I actually wrote what I received from this dream ‘cause I didn’t wanna forget, it was that important for I asked God  a whole lot of questions and I was really expectant of the answer, I knew He was gonna speak to me, but when he did, I didn’t understand, lol.

So all I remembered from that dream was he telling me “show me what you have for me and I will show you what I have for you”

Hmm, I mean this isn’t exactly the answer I was looking for but I had to start looking into this mystery and by His leading i found my way to this amazing blog zortura  in a post titled Christian memes for the first time and I found this quote.” Show God your faith and He’ll show you his Faithfulness” can you tell me that this is mere coincidence?

I absolutely do not think so.

I have lots of posts on Faith that I think you should check them out so you can really understand this post well. Click here and there to refresh your memory on faith.

Faith is simply acting on God’s word.

So the purpose of this post is really to tell somebody that, if there is something on your heart you really wanna do but you are wondering if that is the will of God. well I’m here to tell you that the will of found is found in His word (the Bible) and so whatever it is, if it is a promise of God in His word and you desire it, you have the ability to claim it by acting on the word (Faith) and God will make your act, work (He will make your faith full to yield expected result) He will show you His faithfulness.

So in summing up I conclude with this scripture

19 God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? Numbers 23:19 (NIV)

There you have it, my dream interpreted for both you and my good.

what-can-you-do

My dream “show Me what you have for Me and I will show you what I have for you” interpretation” Act on my Word and I will show you what I can do for you” or “show God your Faith and He’ll show you His Faithfulness”

Thank you Spirit Divine for this!

Let me know if this messages blesses your life as it’s supposed to.

God bless you bunch.

Prayer

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for this day, this message and the gift of life. I pray that you will forgive my errors as I forgive those who wrong me. Father please grant me the grace to act on your word no matter what the circumstance around me demands of me. Lead me to the place where your faithfulness will always be seen with all glory given to you. Thank you Father for answering my prayer in Jesus name, Amen.
