Today’s fragrance: Some Positions are Tests.

Topic: Some positions are tests

Scripture: Daniel 3:17-18

“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Sometimes when the issue of integrity and moral standards is mentioned in Christianity, some Christians go like, things are different now than they were in the days of Moses down to the period of Paul.

We say things are much more difficult now forgetting that where sin abounds grace abounds even more.

We are in a world where even Christians don’t care anymore even if we have to lie or put our hands into something that isn’t ours or even sell our bodies in attractive packages just to lay hold of some enviable positions. After that go to church on Sunday, pray, give big offerings and return to work on Monday to continue the same story.

I know there comes a point in our lives where we are threatened of being thrown into a burning furnace because we won’t give in.

Imagine this setting where jobs are hard to come by, but you managed to find one by the grace of God after a long search accompanied with its frustrations. Then you are faced with a delicate situation…

To receive some token so that you let some truth slide, to sell your dignity as a woman to maintain that job you struggled to get and many others…

But let’s learn something from the friends of Daniel, they had risen up from the ashes to somewhat a prominent stage, and looking at what they had achieved and how far they wanted to go, would it not just be wise to bow so the King would be happy? After All they could go and plead for forgiveness from God after the act but no!!

These men knew the God they served and His worth and therefore will not stoop that low even though everyone was doing it, they forsook everyone and everything for Everything(God). And at the end God showed himself Stronger.

I have come to a point where I believe that God places us at a point for us to prove our loyalty to Him before He transits us to that land flowing with milk and honey, the place He wants us to be.

It takes people who can boldly declare that my God is far more than able, but even if He doesn’t take me out of the mess I find myself in, I know a great message will be made out of me anyways.

It takes people with the “if I perish, I perish” mindset to inherit the land God has prepared for His children flowing with milk and honey.

Today I want to assure somebody that, no matter where you find yourself or the situation pressing hard on you, never turn your back on God for He is able to deliver, but even if He does not, it still does not change the truth that He is God and His ways are always better than men!!

Blessings…

Prayer

1. Thank God for your life and this message.

2. Ask for forgiveness of sins.

3. Pray for more grace for that is all you need in a world full of sin and present other requests to Him.

4. Thank God for an answered prayer in Jesus name, amen.

I remind myself that I’m not tested to prove to God I will remain faithful, because He already knows, but to prove to myself that I will remain faithful no matter what. “If I perish, I perish,” sounds like such a sacrifice, and then I think “If I perish, I go home to God.” How is that a sacrifice? This post is such an awesome start to my day. Thanks, Papberry. God bless.
