Today’s fragrance: Be led by the Spirit

Today’s fragrance by Papberry

Topic: Be led by the Spirit

Scripture:Roman 8:14

One of the things about me that I’m really grateful to God for in my life is my long legs… Ask me why later…lol

But on a more serious note, sometime ago I was busily walking home. It had been a long day and I was carrying my baby( laptop) at my back, but all of a sudden I was getting too tired and it was very abnormal knowing myself…

I guess that was happening ’cause I was using too much energy in propelling my movement and my belly was almost empty too…

Then it hit me!
I was walking in the opposite direction of the wind and it was quite strong so I needed more energy to move else i will find myself moving back instead of foward.

Then it dawned on me why a lot of Christians have grown weary in doing good and so many other things concerning our walk in the Christian faith.

The answer came pretty fast to me and it’s simply because we are not moving in the same direction as the Holy Spirit.
We are not being led by the Spirit.

Instead of being in tune with the Holy Spirit and allowing ourselves to be carried along in the direction of the Spirit which indeed will make things easier… We find ourselves busily moving in the opposite and draining the little energy and resources we have.
Today, you are being reminded that the grace of God is available to you for use if you believe in Him.

His grace makes things easier not withstanding the fact that we should equally work hard… Grace isn’t a substitute for hardwork, it rather compliments hardwork.

So would you quit playing superman in your life and hand it over to Jesus now? Your strength will always fail you because You were not made to depend on yourself but on God.

Just allow yourself to flow in the direction of the Spirit, don’t be static and rigid else you will get stuck in that position of mediocrity and break down!

Romans 8:14

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

1.Thank God for today and your life.

2.Ask for forgiveness of sin.

3.Ask the Lord to take charge of your life and make you more sensitive to His promptings.

4.Thank God for an answered prayer in Jesus name, Amen

Today’s fragrance:Seek God for Help

Today’s fragrance by Papberry

Topic: Seek God for Help

Scripture: Psalms 37:5

“Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass”.
I found myself in a completely new environment sometime ago and I was running late for an appointment so I had to resort to asking people I met for directions because I won’t make it on my own on time…
One thing I realized was that those people I asked even though they didn’t know the place I was going, they still gave me some direction and I don’t know whether they wanted me to be lost than I already was at that moment.

I mean, I have no idea is just a simple phrase to use but no! they will dare give me answers even if it’s wrong.

But finally I realized I was heading in the right direction because I saw some signs but to be sure I asked someone else and the person directed me to where I was coming from …

This time around I just looked at him smiled and said thank you.

In my head I was like hell no!! Because obviously I’m coming from that direction and if that was the place I wouldn’t be here asking for directions again.

But finally I met someone who actually stayed in the Neighborhood and was familiar with where I was going so he helped me get back on track…

That day I practically learnt that not everyone that comes our way in the course of our life’s journey can be of help to us, some people will actually delay us and by the time we get to our intended destination that opportunity we were going for would be far gone or picked up by another.

Some will also lead us to the wrong places if we put so must trust in them.

I can relate this experience of mine to our journey here on this earth, sometimes we get lost and confused about lots of things and instead of seeking the One who made this world and everything in it including us, we ask strangers just like ourselves and we end up getting more confused and lost than we already are.
God says that commit your ways into His hands and He will establish it, so even before you set out to do something, get Him involved, ask him for directions so that you don’t find yourself in a dire situation which brings trouble rather than peace to you.
But even if you’ve already set out on that journey on your own it’s never too late… God is always ready to give us a hand if we ask…

Dear Father, Thank you for today and my life. Please forgive my sins as I forgive others. Lord I commit my ways and heart desires into your hands, help me fulfill them, a man’s heart plans his ways but you oh Lord directs our path so I put everything in your hands, lead me in Jesus name have I prayed with thanksgiving, amen.

Thoughtful Tuesday

Thoughtful Tuesday

Hi there😅

It’s a Thoughtful Tuesday and I’m sharing this little message with you.

You see, human beings as in you and I are the greatest assets on this earth.

We are containers every kind of spirit wants to Indwell to get things done here on earth because earth is for physical beings. you’ve got to possess a body to be able to function here.

Whiles this might sound extremely exciting, you must also know that every case has two sides, the positive and negative.

God has a plan for your life. And the enemy also has one for you.
And you need to be ready for both .

The advise here is, be wise enough to know which one to embrace and which one to battle.

Remember that every Good and perfect gift comes from above and also wisdom is the principal thing and the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom…

May God help us all in making the right decisions in life.

Today’s fragrance: Pain, a necessity for growth?

Today’s fragrance by Papberry

Topic: Pain, a necessity for growth?

Scripture: Proverbs 20:30

“Physical punishment cleanses away evil; such discipline purifies the heart”.

Change is difficult, it most times hurt but it’s possible…

When you become so used to some way of life change becomes difficult not because you are growing in the zone but because you are familiar and comfortable in that zone.

A lot of us have embraced mediocrity in the name of familiarity.

It is time to stop living under circumstances and start living above them!

You see, if you are in the same position for 3years and above and you still haven’t experience any appreciable amount of positive change leading to growth in whatever you are doing then there is a problem.

I always like to link change with getting yourself a new pair of shoes.

Can you recall those moments when you  finally bought the pair of shoes you were dying for?

The experience of getting new shoes or clothes is exciting!

We start wearing the shoes and our feet hurts badly but we endure and continue walking in them because we feel good in them and they make us look classy and attractive too.

Not forgetting those clothes we buy but get home to realize it’s a bit to small for us, but we force ourselves in wearing them even though we might end up not being able to breath or even drink water. We endure because we badly want them and because they make us look and feel good.

Now I want to liken this scenario to having a new life in Jesus Christ.

Formally you were used to worldly stuff but now you know that light and darkness has nothing in common, infact wherever light goes, darkness disappears meaning you must do away with your old self so you can fully shine as the light you are.

But here is a case where, new is good but it hurts sometimes. But because you desire it so much like those new shoes you must be able to endure till you get used to or the shoes opens up a bit then you don’t feel the pain anymore.

The life of a Christian isn’t always rosy and cozy, you have to pick up your cross daily and follow Him(Christ) and we all know what the cross entails… its not pleasant but we must endure…

1 Corinthians 2:9 For it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man, The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

if you happen to be reading this but you keep going back to your oldself because the pain in the new life is unbearable, I have good news for you, you don’t have to do this alone because your strength will fail you at a point and that’s exactly why you keep going back.
Can you lay it all on Jesus? He promises to be with you through out for He cares so much for you.

Maybe you are afraid you will loose all your friends but don’t worry you have a better friend in Jesus and He is all you need.

Father Lord, thank you for my life today, please forgive all my sins even as I forgive those who sin asgainst me. Lord I thank you for giving me a new life through your death and resurrection and I offer myself to you to be used in everyway pleasing to you. Take charge of my life because I can’t handle it on my own in Jesus name have I prayed with Thanksgiving, Amen.

Sunday Note

Hello there😅

Happy Sunday to you all

I’m here to give you a short message…

I want you all to remember that we weren’t called as Christians to be like other Christians or humans but to be like Christ and Christ alone!

In His steps we walk…

If for any reason you’ve swayed off, then this is a perfect time to examine yourself even as you go before Him in worship and allow Him lead you back in the right direction.

1 Peter 2:21

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

Today’s fragrance: A humble prayer.

Topic: A humble prayer

Scripture: Psalms 143:7-12

“Answer me quickly, Lord; my spirit fails.

Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.

Show me the way I should go,for to you I entrust my life. Rescue me from my enemies, Lord, for I hide myself in you.

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.

In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant”. Amen.

Thankful/Testimony Thursday

This is the day the good Lord has made and we must rejoice and be glad in it.

Today we want to celebrate the new life we received in Jesus.

Had it not been by His grace, that unmerited favor that we got anyways because of His love, where would we have been?

Sometimes we go for jobs and we know inside of us that we don’t qualify and that our Certificates don’t match up but our Father who doesn’t make His children go hungry qualifies us for things we don’t qualify!

So what have you got to tell Him today?

What did Ge qualify you to do that beats your imaginations?

Share with us here on send me an email via

Would you also love to share with the world your testimony ?

It’s same email… Bless others with your story.
