Today’s Fragrance : Don’t get attached

I think that sometimes no matter how comfortable you are in a foreign land you would yearn to go back home at a point. Even if you do not have all the amenities you enjoy in your present location back home you would still want to go. This is simply because home is home and home is sweet. You see, home is actually not a structure but a place with a personal connection. It is a place one feels at peace even with the least of amenities.

With that being said it is reported that a lot of people do not want to go home because they’ve become too comfortable and attached to their current locations. Something that is infact temporal and still see nothing wrong with it.
They’ve become tied to things they’ve been able to achieve at their present locations that it will be difficult to let go if they’re to move.
Oh, and you dare not take those things away else they’d cease to function because their hearts are tied to those things.
Now let’s come back home…
Matthew 6:21 says that “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”.

Today we are being reminded not to get comfortable or attached to the things of the world if not, when it’s time to leave you might end up like lot’s wife a pillar of salt.

My dear, we’ve got a better place to go, a place we can call home. Let’s live our lives here on this earth as pilgrims, having in mind that we are in this world but not of it .
So instead of mounting up so much wealth on this strange land that you can’t even go to the grave with when death visits and zero back home, why not store your wealth somewhere secured?
Believers of Jesus Christ have an Inheritance in heaven above.
Believe you me, if the things you treasure most are hidden under your bed, your heart will always be there, but is that place safe enough?

What if robbers come around? what if there is a fire outbreak and you are not around to rescue your treasure?
Today I present to you a safe haven where no evil hand or eye can reach your possessions and that place is found in Jesus Christ. Let’s put our treasures in Him because if we do that our hearts will also be tied to Him, then we know that even if we loose everything on this strange land we have better things stored up home, in a place safe.
And when the Master finally comes for us, we will gladly go and enjoy all the goodies home, afterall home sweet home and there is no better place to enjoy than home.
Everything in this world shall pass away anyways, so why not fix your eyes on the only permanent thing? That’s the Word of God (Jesus Christ).
Blessings…
*Pray for strength and grace to live by God’s standards and not by worldly standards in Jesus name,Amen.*
