Today’s Fragrance: The Christian-God’s Beloved

Scripture reference: Ephesians 1:6; 1 John 4:17; Matthew 3:17
“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”

When Jesus was tempted of the devil, He withstood for one of many reasons; he was not just the son of God but the beloved son of God as the Father himself proclaimed at his baptism by John.

Satan kept on saying, “If you are the son of God…” and Jesus knew he was the only beloved son of God.
Being joint-heirs with Christ and birthed into the wonderful family of God we also are God’s beloved children because we are accepted in the beloved (2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 John 3:2).

Throughout the New Testament, anyone who becomes a believer is labelled the beloved of God and that word resonates the new covenant cut in Christ. Our acceptance does not spring from us but Jesus because of his perfect finished work for us. That is why “As he is so are we in this world”.

As Jesus is presently, not as He walked the earth, but now, fully accepted of the Father, loved, smiled upon, without disease not lack, not condemned, so are we in this world.
Temptations and challenges cannot prevail against us when we know we are God’s beloved; a precious blood bought us, an unmerited and a priceless gift was our ransom and that is our worth to God in Christ Jesus, dearly beloved.
