But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 5:8)
Has your recent interaction or association with some people brought you to the point where you actually think that your value has degraded? You feel you have been ‘used’ and now because you have nothing much to offer at a particular point in their lives you have been relegated to the background like an under performing football club in a top league.
Does this make you think low of yourself? how people treat you because you do not speak their language or possess any of the flashy things the world is running after? You find yourself in a solitary place even in the mist of people because no one has time to even ask how you’re faring because your time has passed or whatever that means.
Why not take advantage of how you are feeling now to accept the proposal of the one who actually truly cares for you regardless of your social or economic background.
The one who is aware of your past, present and future and knows that it isn’t perfect and still decided to put a priceless tag on you, to get you into His world. A world where you are not condemned because of what you have ever done because you have the heart to strive to live a better life.
You might feel worn, and tarnished, even so, God finds value in you for you are His. And He will still go any distance and pay any price just to possess you. Remember that shoe, bag or trousers you used to wear so much? Even though it got so worn out and your friends talked you into disposing them off, but you reluctantly refused.
You acted that way because first, your heart was in those things and secondly the things were yours and no one will ever understand the satisfaction you gain from that thing more than you, its owner.
This is exactly why God still chooses you, even though you seem worn out and out of breath like you’re almost losing the essence of your existence.
You are His, and His heart is in you, He loves you and No matter what, you will never get disposed off by Him.
Today his outstretched arms is waiting on you to lay hold. Would you take the chance?
Lord Jesus, I thank you for the life you’ve given me, lay hold of my heart and use it as you please in Jesus name, amen.
