Today’s Fragrance: Never Forsaken

And about the ninth hour (three o’clock) Jesus cried with a loud voice, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? — that is, My God, My God, why have You abandoned Me. (Matthew 27:46)
IT IS one thing to go through tough times and it is another being neglected because of what you’re going through.
You see, man was never created to be an island, we are intended to live and relate in relationships and communities, not in isolation. That is why we feel so much void in us when rejected and that leaves us depressed, to say the least.
Love- both expressed and received- is helpful, not because it ameliorates the symptoms of depression (it does not) but because it gives people evidence that life may be worth living if they can only get better.
People are able to go through certain extremes of life’s uncertainties due to support coming from loved ones. This love gives them strength to hang on longer than one battling difficulties on his own.
At a point you just need a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen to you, just somebody to tell you it’s going to be okay. And with that you find strength to live another day.
So, no matter the kind of pain inflicted on them physically and other means, they find strength from the love they receive from their relationships. That love sustains through difficult moments.
I just want for you to picture in your mind for a moment, losing touch with someone or something you’ve shared everything with since forever. how would that feel? Dead right? Like the kind of intimacy, we share with our breath, the moment we lose touch, we lose life itself. How do you live without life?
As Jesus hang on that tree beaten beyond recognition, deformed in appearance and covered in His own blood, the only thing that sustained Him was the intimacy He shared with His father, because of that nothing mattered to Him, not even the pain inflicted on His body or the humiliation He suffered could deny him of the joy in that intimacy with His father, that was His strength.
But as He took upon Himself the sin of mankind upon himself, drawing all judgment to Himself, He lost the very precious thing that gave Him strength through that beyond- traumatic experience. His eternal Intimacy with his father, was cut off!!
It is mostly said that Lack of friends can suck one into solitude but sharing the language of affection could help ease the pain.
You cannot begin to even imagine at this point the kind of endless pain Jesus suffered. He was left helpless when He was in need of intimacy.
Jesus had no one, not even the love of His Father!! Isolation is the agony Christ suffered when His eternal relationship with the father was broken on the cross.
Christ suffered and died under the burden of our sins,He was suddenly alone, forsaken, abandoned, isolated, cut off from His relationship with the Father. Yet His suffering in isolation secured for us the promise of the father. Never will I leave nor forsake you. (Hebrews 3:5)
Wow! Such a beautiful and glorious exchange of His beauty for ashes!
Christ endured the agony and abandonment of the cross for us so that we would never be alone or abandoned by our God, Ever.
There is always a special place for you in His presence through Christ Jesus.
Why would God go through all that to redeem you only to forsake you along the line?
Think about it, while there is still time seek intimacy with the Father.
