Today’s Fragrance: Remain In Christ

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

Again, Jesus is seen in this scripture not just as the source of life and fruitfulness but He actually is life and our perpetual environment.

“For in him we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28a)

We were made in the beginning in Him and by Him. Anything and everything about us is found in Him. We cannot take the necessary resources from Him and go out of Him to bear fruit…

It doesn’t work that way for without Him nothing was made that was made. Without Jesus, you will try but things will fall apart in the end because the one who holds all things in place, the glue that bonds it all together is absent.

Everything we are, functions in Him, He is our operating system, without Him our system cannot operate!

I find that as we were made, He also made provision for every need of us right where He made us-in Himself.

So as we remain in Him, we thrive and grow into what He wants for us to be, much fruitful.

All we need do is to remain in Him to freely receive or lay hold of what has already been provided.

He is available always and abides in that environment where He made us. Oh He is actually that environment, but we need to accept that environment as our permanent residence in order to enjoy the fullness of Him.

Remain in Him, my dear. He is all you need. Jesus is all you’ll ever need!
