No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. (John 15:15)
For me to come to a point of calling someone my friend, It has to mean that we’ve gotten to the point of oneness, where whatever I say or do goes for my friend also and vice versa. We sync on every level, spiritual, emotional, mental…
We don’t need any official things done before we zoom into any kind of conversation. In fact, my close friends will attest to the fact that anytime they send me a message with even a greeting first before asking for something I complain and ask when they started doing that. I sometimes jokingly ask if they are the ones with their phones or it’s been stolen.
I barely do all those with my friends, because we’ve gotten to a point where all protocols have been broken. Protocols are for strangers. They need permission to enter the circle but friends are already in!
Can someone just imagine the magnitude of privilege we have in Christ Jesus?
No longer are we slaves, He calls us His own! He has qualified the unqualified with His innumerable qualities! And has opened the door of His heart unto us.
Jesus says we are now friends! And for that matter we qualify to have hearty conversations with Him. These Hearty conversations are borne out of intimacy.
We have a friend in Jesus! A friend who withholds nothing from us but shows us everything learned from the Father. Do you call Jesus your friend? Are you able to tell Him all things? How come you’re so shy/afraid to open up before Him? How come you can’t approach Him unless in make up? When He is the one that made you up?
Jesus withholds nothing at all from us, nothing ooo. Wow!
Is It not time yet? To grow your relationship with Christ? I think we’ve long overstayed the hi, hello level.
It’s about time we got intimate, break the bounds of shyness/ unworthiness and approach Him as we are today.
He longs to always have that hearty chat with you as a friend would. He wants to be a part of your every moment.
Let’s get personal with Jesus. There is nothing sweeter than this! Nothing at all, His presence is so satisfying!
It is my prayer that we hunger and thirst for Him, as the dear pants after water, and may we be filled as we seek Him.
