I remember back in school I had a close friend who will always come telling me about the awesome friends she had made over the vacation period.
I must say it really was beginning to pissed me off because I was getting jealous. Imagine your bestie going bla bla bla about someone else they’ve met every single time you try to have a conversation. The worse thing is when they start to call you by the other person’s name!
Do I have a Witness?
The Holy Spirit reminded me of these encounters I had with my friend as I reflected on the words
“we seek Him to also make him known.”
It dawned on me while I kept reflecting, so I asked, how come most Christians encounter Jesus and are unable to tell people of this Jesus?
Is He not “sweet enough” and out of this world awesome?
Out of personal experience, I’ve come to an understanding that,
It is impossible to have a genuine encounter with Jesus and keep calm about it.
I mean Who hears good news and keeps it to himself? Don’t you just automatically wanna scream it out for the world to hear?
If you manage to keep mute on your encounter with Jesus then I doubt it was truly Jesus you met!
It might be a different kinda Jesus, because the Jesus Christ I know, the son of the Most High God is all sorts of awesome!
We seek Him to also make Him known, not to hide Him in our rooms after finding Him.
If you can’t tell people about Jesus, then my friend, you never really met him!
Do you remember the Samaritan woman and her encounter with Jesus?
This sums it up…
Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”John 4:42
What did you find after encountering Jesus? Tell that good news to others, I tell you, they would want to find out more for themselves and by that have a personal encounter with Jesus.
Remain a blessing!
