Do you think you love God?

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

1 John 5:3

I think you should check your love level if you find the commands of the Lord burdensome!

One of the commands of the Lord is to live in His Word and to be in constant fellowship with Him. (John 15:4)

You see, God’s Love cannot be explained, it can only be experienced. So as you experience and keep experiencing through constant communion with Him, you are filled with the fullness of His love, and then you begin to express yourself in His love, it is the kind that goes beyond human understanding.

The love of God dwelling richly in us is the only reason we’re able to obey His commands.

I find that, so long as we genuinely love someone we’ll do all we can, and even that which we cannot do, we will force to have it done just to please the one we love and to make them happy. We let go of ourselves so we can please our loved ones.

So yeah, you cannot profess love with your mouth without following through with actions. We want love to be rossy and cozy at all times but sometimes love becomes a bloodied body broken, bruised and beaten with whips from which hung metal hooks at their tips and at each stroke stripping the flesh. Yes love can be painful!

I quite agree with my brother when he says, “Genuine Love is not expressed in Convenience because it mostly has to do with the release of the Only Begotten.”

Love is Sacrifice and to sacrifice is an act therefore love is a selfless act based on a decision made.

So the question is, How do you claim to love someone and make no time to be with that person? Remember there can be no relationship without communication.

If you’re unable to give the one you claim to love your time… then you’ve placed no value on that person.

If you claim to love God, you should give Him your time, no matter how busy you think you are, you do not have a universe to run but God does, and even that He still makes time to bottle your tears!

Spending quality time with Him, will enable you to obey His commands without seeing it as a burden!

Love is a action word. Give God your time for He got time and seasons in His hands.
