A common mistake Christians Make

Many believers have limited testimonies to material blessings but really, testimonies are without walls. We have limited testimonies to the Works of God. Well, that also counts but my confusion is with how we are able to tell His works but can’t tell who He is.

To me, the greatest testimony doesn’t come from God’s hands, it comes from His face, in intimacy. Don’t get me wrong, even the good books says we accept man’s testimony but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony about His Son, Christ Jesus (1John 5:9). That’s the testimony of truth and only by this truth are the hearts of men cut deep unto repentance. Only the Truth liberates!

The point I’m trying to make is that, it has and will always be about Jesus(The Truth).

You see, man’s testimony is like a shadow, it shifts and turns when the source of light shifts. On this shadow nothing solid can be built.

I find that in this now fast paced world of smart phones, smart cars and even smart foods…we hate processes but love to get results as fast as logging in and out Facebook to update our status.

So now we come out with half baked testimonies that excite the world rather than causing the world to exercise the word. We’ve become heart massagers instead of influencers. I wonder if this is what overcame the world in the first place.

So it’s pretty simple. The word is “Test-i-mony” not “Mony-Test-i”

You see, we want to get the money but without test… we want the “mony” first so we can cheat our way through the test. Because the test is in seeking the face of the Lord, it seems too much of a price to pay when we don’t have the money yet.

But guess what, where His favor follows power, wealth healing and every other good thing follows. At this stage we don’t even utter any word because we become an embodiment of the word.

That’s a powerful testimony.
