Change happens

Hi wonderful people on here, I trust you are all doing great by the grace of God.
Well, I started this blogging journey to make Jesus popular, most especially to the youth by sharing godly posts in the form of devotions, motivations, poetry and spoken word poetry.

I carried this vision all alone but it gets to a time that you know that what you carry is larger and will need to expand to reach lots of people, which also means you need lots of hands onboard.

My friends and family here on WordPress will notice that for a while I haven’t been on their respective blogs much. I’m sorry for that but as we say, sometimes life just happens.

But the Goodnews is that is now

Scripture: Proverbs 20:30

“Physical punishment cleanses away evil; such discipline purifies the heart”.

Change is difficult, it most times hurt but it’s possible…

When you become so used to some way of life change becomes difficult not because you are growing in the zone but because you are familiar and comfortable in that zone.

A lot of us have embraced mediocrity in the name of familiarity.

 It is time to stop living under circumstances and start living above them!

You see, if you are in the same position for 3years and above and you still haven’t experience any appreciable amount of positive change leading to growth in whatever you are doing then there is a problem.

I always like to link change with getting yourself a new pair of shoes.

Can you recall those moments when you  finally bought the pair of shoes you were dying for? 

The experience of getting new shoes or clothes is exciting!

We start wearing the shoes and our feet hurts badly but we endure and continue walking in them because we feel good in them and they make us look classy and attractive too. 

Not forgetting those clothes we buy but get home to realize it’s a bit to small for us, but we force ourselves in wearing them even though we might end up not being able to breath or even drink water. We endure because we badly want them and because they make us look and feel good.

Now I want to liken this scenario to having a new life in Jesus Christ.

Formally you were used to worldly stuff but now you know that light and darkness has nothing in common, infact wherever light goes, darkness disappears meaning you must do away with your old self so you can fully shine as the light you are.

But here is a case where, new is good but it hurts sometimes. But because you desire it so much like those new shoes you must be able to endure till you get used to or the shoes opens up a bit then you don’t feel the pain anymore.

The life of a Christian isn’t always rosy and cozy, you have to pick up your cross daily and follow Him(Christ) and we all know what the cross entails… its not pleasant but we must endure… 

1 Corinthians 2:9 For it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man, The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

 if you happen to be reading this but you keep going back to your oldself because the pain in the new life is unbearable, I have good news for you, you don’t have to do this alone because your strength will fail you at a point and that’s exactly why you keep going back.
Can you lay it all on Jesus? He promises to be with you through out for He cares so much for you.

Maybe you are afraid you will loose all your friends but don’t worry you have a better friend in Jesus and He is all you need.



Father Lord, thank you for my life today, please forgive all my sins even as I forgive those who sin asgainst me. Lord I thank you for giving me a new life through your death and resurrection and I offer myself to you to be used in everyway pleasing to you. Take charge of my life because I can’t handle it on my own in Jesus name have I prayed with Thanksgiving, Amen.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death”.

The moment you repented and asked for forgiveness, God forgave you so now do your part and leave the guilt Behind.
I will keep saying this till it sinks deep into the minds and hearts of believers.

That by the blood of Jesus you have been saved! Redeemed and sealed by the Holy Spirit if you believe in Jesus.

Who or what can condemn you when Christ says it’s finished?

Jesus didn’t only die but resurrected and now sits at the right hand of the father which is a place of authority, interceding for us.

You are never alone, Jesus didn’t just give you a new life through his death and resurrection but is also helping you maintain that life by interceding for you all the time.
So tell me if Jesus is for you, who can condemn you?

Your past can never be a prophesy of your future because the blood of Jesus speaks only better things. And that’s what He did by ending your past ugly life that was leading to destruction.

So cheers to to life in Jesus!! It has made all things possible!!!



Lord, thank you for my life. Please forgive my sins and teach me the way to go. Thank you for redeeming me through Jesus, thank you for saving me and giving me a better future full of hope.

I’m grateful to you Lord, in Jesus name, amen.

“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins”.

Are there some believers who are still unsure where they stand with God? And unclear about what God wants to do for and through them? 
This post is for you…
All the answers you need is found in Jesus Christ.

Sometimes Satan plays with our minds because he is the god of this age (2Corin 4:4) and also because he successfully tempted Adam and Eve to reject God’s ways, but read this, through Jesus Christ, we have been delivered from satan’s dominion, out of the realm of darkness where satan reigns.

This is why even though we continue to live in a fallen world, we do not belong in it. We now belong to God’s kingdom.(John 17:16) Because of Jesus’ redemption satan no longer reigns in our lives Jesus(grace) does.

So there you have it! by faith in Jesus Christ you have to believe these words and they will work for you.

You have the certainty of your redemption in Christ and the understanding of your calling and authority in Christ 

Walk in it!

3. Pray for Grace and insight to carry out your assignment on this earth.

Moreover, at Daniel’s request the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego administrators over the province of Babylon, while Daniel himself remained at the royal court”.

Sometimes being friends with someone isn’t all about taking selfies or having regular chats and gossips with that person.

It goes beyond that! This is why true friendship is reserved for a selected few in one’s life.
It also doesn’t mean other people become your enemies, no. Maintaining a good relation with all regardless of their status is necessary.

Taking a ship as an example, one side should not carry more weight than the other else the unfortunate will happen. There is a need to keep things balanced so you can have a smooth sail.

I like to say it is the same with friendship, once a part becomes so weightier than the other, the ship will begin to sink gradually and by the time you gain consciousness the selfies will be fun no more because you would be in the water.

Now let’s take a cue from the exemplary life of Daniel.

Sometimes the blessings we receive are to be used to bless others as well, but some of us are so self scented that we always want friends to come begging for something when we can actually help them get to a level where they also can begin to bless the lives of others.

Daniel, after being elevated to a high position, did not forget where he came from and those he called friends.

He helped them also to get to a better place. 

I strongly believe that at that point in time his work was easier because he had such trusted friends to help him accomplish a cause set before him.

Know who your friends are and help them get to the comfortable Zone, remember they came into your life for a purpose so take nothing for granted.

If Jesus had considered Himself first, I don’t know how deep we would’ve been in the bottomless pit but Love made Him look at us first and here we are …

May the good Lord help us be better friends to our friends.

Scripture : Daniel 2:22

“He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness,and light dwells with him”.

Have you heard of Daniel, That enormously gifted young man the bible talks about?
I just want to draw your attention to something…

God gave him the ability to know and to understand things that naturally the human mind wouldn’t be able to deal with.

This young man was strongly devoted to God and his trust in the Lord was mind blowing. So because of this and other traits he exhibited, he found favor in God’s sight and that of men.
God gave him and his friends knowledge and understanding of all kinds and wherever they stood with their peers, they were singled out as the exceptional ones.

Daniels personality is simply one to adhere to and because he believed fully in the Almighty God it reflected in everything he did also.

There are many of us who are just an idea away from our breakthrough but we don’t know how to even get to the point of getting that which is needed.
I particularly want to remind you that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,(Ephesians 3:20)

I want to tell you that even your wildest imagination is just the beginning of the things God can and will do in your life.
God particularly tell his children to ask if they need wisdom and freely he will give. (James 1:5)

But the thing is, the depth and magnitude of what you receive also depends on what you are willing to invest, that is, the amount of time and other resources with which you invest.
Daniel and His friends didn’t sleep for the favor of God to locate them, they took steps to meet it.

They deeply sought after the God of the deep and received deeper revelations.

And the revelations they received changed their whole life. These revelations came at a cost but that’s a topic for another day.

Point is, you cannot dig shallow pits and expect to find diamonds hidden in them, no!
You must do what is not being done. You must dig deeper to find deep treasures, you must go the extra mile.

Somethings are not meant for ordinary Christians all because they are shallow, but if you will dare to be an extraordinary Christian who go places where no one thinks of then you will find things no one has ever found.

Scripture: Romans 6:7

“because anyone who has died has been set free from sin”.

Formerly sin owned us but God’s love and Jesus’ sacrifice broke us free because we got to know Jesus.
So here is the thing,
The body you are carrying about now isn’t yours, I’m just reminding you if you’ve forgotten that Jesus bought and paid with His precious blood.

You died with Him and now you live in Him because death couldn’t hold Him and He now holds the keys to death and hades.

This is a reminder to you who have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior…it is an error if you are still sinning, I mean how can a dead man sin?
Your old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that you should no longer be a slave to sin.

Sin had control over your old self but he died! This one is someone’s life you are living ooo and that person cannot sin!

So if you belong to team Jesus and you still think you are a sinner then there is something wrong, I mean how can you die to sin and still live in it?

Count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.



Father Lord, thank you for today,and the gift of life. Please forgive my sins even as I forgive others. Help me keep this body under subjection so that I do not obey it’s evil desires and consequently sinning against you. I know it’s possible to live a sinfree life in Christ Jesus so help me Lord. Thank you for hearing me in Jesus name, Amen.
