Want to walk on water? Step out of the boat!

Like Peter in Matthew 14:29, has the Lord bid you come? Has Jesus called you to a specific task? Are you hesitant because it looks scary out there?

Perhaps you’ve not responded because you’re wondering if It’s really Jesus calling. But how would you know if you keep in the boat with blurry vision and a great distance between you two.

I believe we are able to make a person out by their voice even if we don’t see them, but then, this is only applicable in instances where you already KNOW the person. One way to know God is by His Word… By His Word, we know His voice, and If by His word we’re instructed, we confidently follow because unlike man, He’s Word is sure. By this, we believe and step out in faith looking only unto Him.

Like Peter, We have no power of our own but as we fix your eyes on the source of all power Jesus, who bids us come… we’ll be empowered to do supernatural things we would have never been able to, like walking on water!

Matthew 14:29

So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
