Topic: Don’t loose your flavor

Main text: Mathew 5:13

Have you noticed that oflate people are strategic on choosing friends? People are choosing friends based on what they bring onboard. So If you add up positively you remain in the friend zone but if not you get ejected.

But why is this so?

Well, you are exactly the people you walk with, so if those you walk with amount to nothing then so will you be!

It gets to a point in one’s life that decongestion exercise takes place… You look at the level in which you are and where you want to get to and based on that conduct the exercise. So the people who help bring out the best in you and not the worst are maintained and the “pull me downs” are shown the way out.

Why? Because they have lost their flavor or have non at all and are not serving any good purpose in your life so you had to dispose them just like you do to “unwanted things” else they will degrade you to nothing without realizing.

Matthew 5:13 (TLB)

13 “You are the world’s seasoning, to make it tolerable. If you lose your flavor, what will happen to the world? And you yourselves will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

You, as a believer of our Lord Jesus Christ reading this post have been called to season the world, to add flavor and spice to a tasteless world. You have been called to make the world tolerable, you have been called to preserve the world and add value to it thereby preventing it from rotting.

But are you serving your purpose? Are you being the salt you ought to be?
If not, know that you are just occupying space and wasting oxygen, you will be thrown out sooner than later because nothing good is coming out of you like it ought to.

Beloved, you are the salt of the world!
If you, the one supposed to season the world is leading a life unworthy of emulating, what then would become of the world? Who will keep it from rotting?

There is no substitute for salt! Not at all, it is the most unique and useful substance one can get but If it loses its ability to salt, nothing can take its place.

No one can take the place of the witnessing Christian whose life always corresponds to his words.

Salt can be useless when it get mixed with dirt, and when that happens it becomes useful only for the streets to be trampled on. The saddest sight on earth is a believer who has lost his influence for Christ. He is like precious salt being treated like common dirt!

But thank God for the the Holy Spirit, who acts like salt to the believer. And the believer in return acts like salt to his family, friends, and the church. And The church also acts like salt to the world.

So my dear friend reading this post, as a believer of our Lord Jesus Christ, a lot depends on you and so don’t loose your flavor but be youthful and useful!

Stay relevant in God’s kingdom so as to win souls unto Him.

Remain salty for God.

Blessings…

Prayer

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for this day and your word. Please Lord, forgive me of my sins even as I forgive all who sin against me. Father, by your Spirit help me make conscious efforts to live out my purpose on this earth, help me stay relevant in your kingdom and lead me not into situations that will cost me my flavor. I desire to be used by you now more than ever so empower me unto greater works in Jesus name have I prayed with thanksgiving, Amen.

I’ve grown up hearing about being the salt of the earth, but I’ve never heard it explained like this. Perhaps I was simply ready to hear the message more clearly. Thank you!
